Saddle Stitching Design Flexibility

Saddle stitching is a cost effective layflat method of holding paper together. Simplicity of form, diverse functionality and endless applications make it an attractive solution for a wide range of products. (For technical information, see pages 28 and 33-39 in our Helpful Hints booklet, fourth edition. Contact Jim Egan at 800-747-1389 for a complimentary copy while supplies last.)

What's Possible ...

Twelve pockets on a saddle stitching production line allows: Mixed & matched stocks, different sized forms, fold-outs, BRCs, tabs, bind-ins, envelopes, signatures, personalized forms, and many other important job components.

Undersized stitched books can be automatically produced one-up at a minimum size of 3” x 3-7/8”.  Two-up layouts can yield books down to 2-1/2” x 3-1/2”. Books as small as 1” x 1-1/2” can be achieved with special handling.

Fold-out covers work with
glue placed in trim-off areas.
Standard 1/4” loops and
oversized 5/16”  loops are available.
