New MBO Perfection Folding Machine Reduces Company's
Turnaround Times on Many Folding Projects
Chicago, IL – Rickard Bindery, a 106-year old Chicago-based post press services company, proudly announces the recent installation of another high speed folding machine. This new six-plate, 30” MBO Perfection unit can handle a sheet size as large as 30”x 60”. It has six plates in the first section, four in the second and four in the third.
“The technology advance in the MBO Perfection is significant,” says Kevin Rickard, Vice President, Operations. “For example, a job that once ran at four thousand per hour might run at nine thousand now.”
The MBO Perfection uses a new paper handling technology that speeds the transfer of paper between right angle sections, greatly improving production speeds. Rickard Bindery has experienced daily yields up to a half-million pieces per day on this machine.
“We purchased the MBO because it allows us to improve turnaround times for our customers,” says Jim Egan, Sales Manager. “We love making calls saying, ‘Done. Ahead of schedule.’ ”
